Fakarny Account Deletion
Your data, your choice. You can delete your Fakarny account and all associated personal data at any time using one of the methods below.

What Gets Deleted
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. The following personal data will be permanently removed:
- Your profile information (name, email, settings)
- All lectures, review history, and FSRS progress data
- Events, exams, and quick todos
- Friend connections and social activity
- Achievements, XP, and gamification data
- All messages and feedback
Option 1: Delete from Within the App
If you are logged in, you can delete your account directly:
- Open the Fakarny app and log in to your account
- Go to Settings (gear icon in the sidebar)
- Scroll down to the Danger Zone section
- Click "Delete Account"
- Confirm by typing "DELETE" and then "CONFIRM DELETE"
Your account and all data will be deleted immediately.
Data Retention and Deletion Details
Personal Data That Is Deleted Immediately
Upon account deletion, the following personal data is permanently removed from all Fakarny servers:
- Profile information (display name, username, email address)
- Account settings and preferences
- All lectures, notes, and study materials you created
- Complete review history and FSRS spaced repetition data
- Study statistics (streaks, XP, achievement progress)
- Events, exams, and task lists
- Friend connections and social relationships
- Messages and communication history
- All activity logs and timestamps associated with your account
Data That Is Kept (Non-Personal/Aggregated)
The following data types are NOT deleted because they are anonymized or aggregate-level:
- Anonymized analytics: We retain aggregate usage statistics (total reviews, average performance) without any identifying information
- App improvement logs: Technical error logs may retain timestamps but are dissociated from your account
- Billing records: We keep minimal billing/subscription records as required by law for 7 years (required for tax and legal compliance)
Data Retention Timeline
- Immediate (within seconds): Your personal data is deleted from active systems
- Within 30 days: Deleted data is purged from all backup systems and archives
- After deletion: Your account cannot be recovered — a new account will be treated as a separate user

If you cannot access your account or prefer to request deletion by email, send us a message at the address below. Include the email address associated with your Fakarny account so we can verify your identity.

- You will be signed out of all devices
- Your data will be permanently removed from our servers
- If you used Google Sign-In, you can also revoke access from your Google Account permissions
- You are welcome to create a new account at any time, but your previous data cannot be recovered
